Transend manages environmental risk through an Environmental Management System (EMS). The EMS applies to all our products and services and to all employees and contractors, who have a responsibility to carry out their roles and activities in an environmentally responsible way.
The EMS ensures that we have the right procedures in place to meet our legislative obligations and the expectations of the community. It also sets targets to manage risk and to ensure continual improvement in our environmental performance.
The EMS is formally certified to the International Management Standard ISO 14001 and the system is externally audited by Bureau Veritas International. Certification to ISO 14001 is reassessed every three years and survey audits are conducted annually to ensure we conform to the standard.
