ESI passport

The Tasmanian network operators, Hydro Tasmania, Aurora Energy, Aurora Energy Tamar Valley and Transend Networks issue Australian Electricity Supply Industry (AESI) skills passports to employees who need to access the power system. The passport records inductions, authorisations, currency of refresher training and competencies.

The AESI Skills Passport has replaced the TESI Passport, which is slowly being phased out of the workplace. Until December 2012 both passports are still acceptable provided the relevant training required for the work being undertaken is current.

If you have a TESI Passport (yellow cover), it will be replaced with a new AESI skills passport (red cover) free of charge. For full details on this process, please read the TESI Communique below. The forms referred to in this communiqué can be downloaded here with the exception of the Manager’s Endorsement Form, which can be found on the Training page.

More detailed information on the national passport and the Passport Administration Rules can be referenced on the AESI Skills Passport website.

If you require a replacement of a lost or damaged AESI passport please ring the Aurora Training Centre on (03) 6244 8320. A fee of $25 +GST is payable for replacement passports.
