We welcome applications for assistance under our sponsorship program from all community organisations with the exception of political or religious organisations. In general, we are keen to support proposals that help to build relationships with our stakeholders and that deliver real benefits to the community.
Our sponsorship and donation program focuses on four key areas:
Education, by promoting the company as an employer of choice through the development of potential staff to meet workforce needs in the future. We encourage students at all levels to seek careers in the electricity supply industry by sponsoring scholarships for engineering students and supporting activities in schools to encourage students to study appropriate subjects.
Environment, by supporting community projects in areas where our activities or equipment may have an impact on the environment.
Employees, by supporting our employees and contractors involved in worthy sporting, social and community events, we aim to sustain motivation and morale, improve productivity by having a healthy workforce while lifting our profile as an employer of choice.
Enterprise, by supporting organisations and activities that align with our strategic performance objectives, we aim to promote a positive corporate image not just in Tasmania but in the energy industry.
